FR. JEAN

He is a Haitian Catholic priest, filmmaker, and storyteller dedicated to serving God through faith, art, and the transformative power of cinema. His interdisciplinary formation includes studies in theology in Haiti and France, philosophy, audiovisual communication in Salamanca, Spain, and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Film and Television from Los Angeles, California. Fluent in Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, and English, he brings a multicultural perspective to both his ministry and his artistic work.

As a filmmaker, Jean is passionate about proclaiming the Gospel through the language of cinema. Through both documentary and narrative filmmaking, he seeks to tell stories that give voice to the voiceless, reveal the dignity of every human person, and shed light on the realities of marginalized communities. His films explore universal themes of faith, family, justice, compassion, forgiveness, reconciliation, and hope, inviting audiences to reflect deeply and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

His international education and cross-cultural experiences have shaped a distinctive artistic vision rooted in authenticity, excellence, and service. Jean believes that cinema is more than entertainment—it is a powerful instrument for evangelization, cultural dialogue, reconciliation, and social transformation. Every story, in his view, has the potential to reveal truth, awaken conscience, and inspire lives.
